Hi, I'm Abhay
I've been manipulating computers since I was 9: first making games, later (from 12 to today) producing music, programming audio effects, designing webapps, training neural networks, conducting research, and much more, almost entirely self-taught! Currently I'm a high school graduate & founding mle @ conduit (in sf!!).
Nowadays, I'm drawn towards doing interesting, imaginative things that have never been done before and are overwhelmingly worth doing, regardless of form or function.
Previously I've:
- Frankenstein-ed ViTs & PDEs to simulate biological tissue (research @ Stanford)
- Designed RL Environments (Prime Intellect RL Residency), fine-tuned LLMs
- Built multimodal agents for music translation, marketing agents to reach 1M+ listeners
- Led software @ the 5th-best HS robotics team; taught elementary schoolers vibecoding
I'm primarily motivated by/curious about:
- Analyzing systems, understanding the incomplete/unknown, and doing so regardless of field or form. I value finding common threads across far-flung ideas and building lasting, transferrable intuition.
- Rowing, caring about each and every element of each and every thing I work on, but also steering, zooming out and adjusting when pieces don't serve the whole.
- The fundamentally new possibilities associated with neural networks & agents; the chance to better understand ourselves, our world, and the nature of intelligence as we teach machines to perceive and interact with the world.
- Being human: living life, making mistake/memories, facing fears, learning to understand and appreciate oneself. I believe it's incredibly important to understand one's self & goals, then push past every superficial barrier.
- Thinking, dreaming, listening, imagining; understanding and telling stories.
